Private Residence, Darien
An existing 1950's ranch is transformed into a federal style colonial. The interior spaces are designed with period details, but with an open flow suited to a modern lifestyle. The paneled family room with a field stone fireplace was added to be the new gathering place for the home. The room is flooded with natural light and offers easy access to an exterior stone terrace.
