Established in 1999, Vicente-Burin Architects is an award winning practice specializing in bespoke residential architecture.  A collaborative effort between partners Paulo Vicente A.I.A. and Martina Burin A.I.A., the practice focuses on creating exceptional projects for discerning clients.

Our work is often described as understated.  While our knowledge and ideas have evolved over time, the one constant has been our effort to thoughtfully distill a design idea to it's essence.   Whether it be an economical floor plan, a expression of material or a structural detail that is celebrated, our core belief is that in doing so, a timeless space can be created.   Project parameters are explored in a holistic manner, weighing and balancing program requirements with context and natural features, and the budget.   It is a process that we have honed over our 20 years of practicing architecture, and we believe it results in an architecture of substance, integrity and originality.

Individual attention to our clients is an essential part of a successful project so that is why a partner is involved in every stage of our services, from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.  We work closely with our clients to be able to best understand their priorities, and successfully guide them through the complex process of taking a project from an idea to the built form.
